MEET PITA
Hello TP Crew! As a native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, I have always been surrounded by food. I used food to cope with my emotions in my adolescent years, but eventually it all caught up with me. When I realized the damaging effects binge eating could have on my body and mind, I was at the end of my rope, I decided to make a change. It became my therapy to release toxic energy through physical pain, the gym. Following the loss of over 60 pounds, I fell in love with the world of fitness and became a certified fitness trainer to share my knowledge gained over the years, from there I went even further! Since I started competing in professional bodybuilding competitions, I have been coaching myself. After reaching levels I never thought I would see in my life, I realized I had missed some of my life by moving from one extreme to another. I lost the balance of food and fitness. I decided to take a break because I had turned into a machine. Over the next year, I gained back over 50 pounds, which is how I earned the nickname Thick Pita! Nevertheless, there would be no Thick Pita without Lean Pita. There is no size to mental health, and I have learned to appreciate my journey each step of the way! Turns out, my biggest transformation was my mentality and mindset. There are no limits to what we can achieve. I am no different from you, I believe commitment & discipline need a little love of balance! Stop waiting for Monday and ask yourself: one day or day one?
